Valeria: Creating Strategic Marketing Solutions for Dubai's Real Estate Giants

Valeria: Creating Strategic Marketing Solutions for Dubai's Real Estate Giants

What brought you to Dubai and inspired your entrepreneurial journey?

I moved to Dubai three years ago when the war in Ukraine began – I accidentally got stuck here and realized this place offered incredible opportunities. With my deep expertise in real estate marketing, I saw tremendous potential in Dubai's market. Over time, I built my network and understood that this was where I wanted to do business. About two years ago, we officially started operating here, combining my energy, expertise, and territorial advantage with the capabilities of the Fedorov Group of Companies.

How do you define yourself – as an entrepreneur or an expert?

That's a great question because I'm a co-owner of the business, but I have a very hands-on approach with my clients. They primarily buy my expertise – mine and my team's. So for my clients, I'm first and foremost an expert with highly specialized knowledge. From a self-identification standpoint, I'm an entrepreneur who wants to grow my network and business. I think balancing these two roles is one of the biggest challenges for any entrepreneur, especially in the early stages of building a business.

What is your core competency in the market?

We specialize in marketing and branding for B2B companies in real estate, with offices in Ukraine and Dubai. We work primarily with real estate developers and projects. Our main value proposition is creating systematic, strategy-based marketing solutions for complex B2B investment projects. We have a unique market position because I don't see specialized marketing agencies in Ukraine that focus solely on development – it's a very narrow niche requiring deep expertise, and not everyone is ready to dedicate themselves to this field.

Who are your primary clients and what results have you achieved?

We now have a specialized full-time team of 10 people handling brand strategy, art direction, and copywriting, specifically focused on real estate, B2B, hospitality, and territorial brands. Over the past few years, we've worked in Ukraine, Dubai, Indonesia, and Bali markets. We've completed over 20 international projects, involving more than 300,000 square meters of future housing for people connected to these projects. We're currently working with top-three developers in the country and international architectural companies that are 70 years old with offices worldwide, from Shanghai to Milan.

What differentiates your approach in this specialized field?

Our clients are always amazed when they meet marketing specialists who understand the specifics of their product and processes so deeply. Usually, the client-developer-agency relationship involves trendy people who drink lavender lattes and don't understand how this complex system is built. The client has to re-educate the agency and explain what development is. Our advantage is that we understand what happens in all these work processes and help build the product. It's a very complex business requiring enormous competence, but that's also an advantage because fewer people can compete with us.

What has been your greatest achievement so far?

I think it's gaining recognition in the Dubai market. It's pleasant to understand that Dubai developers are already sharing our contacts among themselves. My greatest pride is the result of our major collaboration with Riel, Ukraine's top-3 developer. We helped them develop and launch six new complexes in Ukraine – two in Kyiv and four in Lviv. I'm proud that we could radically improve the quality of life for thousands of Ukrainians who will live in these properties in a few years. We create opportunities for people to live better lives in their locations by thinking about details like stroller areas for mothers, great playgrounds, dog walking zones, and proper recreational spaces.

How do you define happiness and success?

For me, happiness is not permanent, but it's about understanding that I'm in dynamics, in a growth phase. I understand that I'm growing in terms of knowledge, expertise, and soft skills. When I see great feedback from clients, when I see the team is engaged, when there's dynamics and development happening through investments in myself, my knowledge, and capabilities – that's when I feel happy. It's about continuous improvement and seeing tangible progress.

What challenges did you face building business in Dubai without a mentor?

I'm navigating Dubai alone, paving my own way. I have friends and people who support me – Andrii has been very supportive psychologically and emotionally this past year, and I'm very grateful to him. But I didn't have a specific mentor. Dubai has a very different mentality and approach to doing business compared to Ukraine. Here, connections and relationships are much more important. You need a lot of time to build trust that you, as an entrepreneur and business, are here for the long term and won't disappear. There are many scams and fly-by-night companies here.

Who are you looking to connect with in Dubai?

I'm primarily looking for potential collaboration partners – developers and people involved in development in Dubai. I'm interested in contacts specifically in the development sphere. Whether they become my clients isn't the main priority. For me, the key is building networks, relationships, sharing expertise, exchanging ideas, and finding mutually beneficial conditions – whether client-based, partnership-based, or otherwise. Making this market better and growing our business together is my priority.
